What is Adesilex P10?
Adesilex P10 is a high-performance, white cementitious tile adhesive engineered for professional bonding of glass mosaic, ceramic, vitrified mosaic, marble mosaic, and natural stone tiles on interior and exterior walls and floors. Classified C2TE under ISO 13007-1 — Improved (C2), Slip-Resistant (T), Extended Open Time (E) — it meets the highest performance standards for tile installation systems.
Its thixotropic formulation prevents tile slip on vertical surfaces, enabling precise installation of mosaic sheets without movement. Extended open time allows installers greater flexibility for positioning and adjustment, ensuring uniform alignment and professional finishing even on complex architectural surfaces.

Application Guide — UAE Site Conditions
Follow these steps to achieve maximum adhesion, mosaic stability, and long-term installation performance under UAE's high heat, dust, and coastal humidity conditions. Always refer to the current Mapei TDS.
Surface Preparation
The substrate must be fully cured, sound, clean, and free of loose particles, grease, oils, paint, wax, and curing compounds. Cementitious renders must cure for at least one week per centimetre of thickness in warm weather; screeds for at least 28 days unless Mapei accelerated binders (e.g. Topcem) have been used. Remove laitance and repair cracks with suitable Mapei repair mortars. Prime gypsum board and anhydrite with Primer G or Eco Prim T Plus. For existing tiles, mix with Isolastic (1:1 with water) for reliable bond to non-absorbent surfaces.
Preparing the Mix
Add Adesilex P10 powder to clean water and mix to a smooth, lump-free paste. Allow to rest for approximately 5 minutes and re-stir before application. Water mixing ratio is 33–36 parts water per 100 parts powder (approximately 8.25–9.0 litres per 25 kg bag). For submerged and high-performance applications, replace water with 18 parts water + 18 parts Isolastic per 100 parts powder. Pot life is approximately 8 hours.
Applying the Adhesive
Spread a thin first layer of Adesilex P10 onto the substrate using the straight edge of the trowel to ensure full contact and make best use of the open time. Then apply the full adhesive bed using a suitable notched trowel sized to ensure 100% back coverage on the tiles. For tiles with deeply profiled ribs on the back face, back-butter the tile as well as combing the substrate.
Installing Tiles & Mosaic
There is no need to pre-wet tiles before installation — only dip tiles in clean water if backs are very dusty. Press mosaic and tiles firmly onto the fresh adhesive from top to bottom, ensuring full contact. The thixotropic formulation prevents tiles slipping down the wall even when applied in descending courses — no spacer pegs needed. If adjustment is needed, do so within 30 minutes of installation; after this window the bond begins to develop and adjustment is not recommended.
Grouting & Protection
Protect the finished tiled surface from direct sun, rain, and foot traffic during initial curing. Grout wall joints after 4–8 hours and floor joints after 24 hours using suitable Mapei cementitious or epoxy grouts. Seal all movement joints with Mapei sealants. Floors withstand light foot traffic after 24 hours; the installation is ready for use after 14 days. Clean tools and containers with plenty of water while fresh, and clean surfaces with a damp cloth before the adhesive dries.
Post-Application Performance
Once fully cured, surfaces bonded with Adesilex P10 deliver outstanding long-term adhesion under UAE's thermal, humidity, and immersion conditions. Pool Fill at 21 Days
Swimming pools and basins must not be filled until 21 days after installation. This is significantly longer than the 14-day general ready-for-use period — plan UAE pool handover schedules around the full immersion cure to avoid bond failure.
Isolastic for Submerged Work
For pools, spas, water features, and non-absorbent substrates, always use the Isolastic-modified mix, not water alone. The water-only mix does not deliver the deformability and submerged-bond performance these applications require.
Unsuitable Substrates
Do not use on wood, metal, rubber, PVC, linoleum, or concrete cured less than 6 months. The 6-month concrete cure requirement is stricter than many adhesives — verify substrate age before specifying on new UAE pours.
